Note for future reference: when the caulk manufacturers wrote “remove tape promptly” in the instructions on the tube, they meant “within 3-5 minutes after application.” Which is maybe what they should have written, just to be on the safe side. The ETA for my first indoor shower since last Saturday morning has now been pushed back to tomorrow evening.

I just heard another car crash outside my office window. Four cars and a dump truck, but no blood that I could see when I hurried downstairs. So I came back upstairs. Who wants to stand around in the blazing sun looking at such a boring accident scene. Plus, drivers who’ve just been in accidents are always in such a bad mood.

The lead inspector comes tomorrow morning. Hope he likes what he sees.
